Climbing Yala Peak (5550 m), a scenic adventure in the Langtang Region of Nepal, leads to the summit of Yala Peak. It is an easy mountaineering experience within a short period of time. You will be rewarded with the panoramic view of the Lantang Lirung, Dorje Lakapa and Shisapagma. As a result of its average height, it has recently attracted many climbers. Yala Peak is not a very challenging mountain but the climber needs to have some basic skills of using crampons and fixed rope due to the peak’s final steep ice section. Apart from summiting the peak, this trip in the Himalayas is an adventure in its own right. You can observe Himalayan lifestyles and highland culture in their pristine state. In addition to the turquoise lakes and glaciers you’ll see on your way, you’ll also encounter high passes.

Day 01: Arrival Kathmandu (1400m)
It’s a fantastic feeling to fly over the land of Nepal. You can see beautiful snow-covered mountains. After you land at Tribhuvan International Airport, you will be greeted by our team at the arrivals and escort you to your hotel.
Day 02: Kathmandu Valley Sightseeing Tour (B)
After having the early morning breakfast, you will move towards Kathmandu Durbar Square to tour around the Durbar Square. You will delight in the architectural wonder of the places like Hanuman Dhoka, KumariGhar, Gaddi Baithak, Taleju Temple etc. Then you make your way towards the Swayambhunath temple from where you can see the mesmerizing view of the whole Kathmandu valley. After having the wonderful view of the Kathmandu valley, you will continue towards Patan city. There you will visit Patan Durbar Square which is known for Krishna Mandir, Golden Temple and Patan Museum. After observing the wonders of Patan, you will be back to your hotel for the night.
Day 03: Drive to Syabrubesi (1550m) – 7 hrs (B, L, D)
After having breakfast early in the morning, you will drive leaving the Valley behind. During the ride you can enjoy the beautiful landscape, mountain and pass through terraced fields and rustic villages. You will reach Syabrubesi after descending from Dhunche and spend the night at Syabrubesi.
Day 04: Trek to Lama Hotel (2470m) – 5/6 hrs (B, L, D)
The actual trek begins from today. After having the breakfast you will leave Syabrubesi and cross Langtang Khola. Then the trail takes you to beautiful forest covered with rhododendrons and oaks. The trail continuously switches between ascents and descents and reaches to Lama Hotel, your destination for the day.
Day 05: Trek to Langtang Village (3500m) – 6/7 hrs (B, L, D)
Today you will follow the trail along the Langtnag River, and crossing the green pastures and enjoy the magnificent views of the Langtang Ri in front of you. After you reach yak pastures, you will climb a steep hill, passing through the beautiful forest and reach Langtang village inhabited by the Tamang people.
Day 06: Trek to Kyangjin Gompa (3800m) – 3/4 hrs (B, L, D)
The trek chases the trail leading to kyangjin Gompa, one of the important monasteries in the region. Along the way you will pass through water mills, prayer wheels and scared mani walls with sacred inscriptions. You will also come across one of the biggest mani walls of Nepal. Today you will be exploring the art and culture of higher settlements with a magnificent view of the mountains.
Day 07: Trek to Yala Peak Base Camp (4940m) – 6/7 hrs (B, L, D)
After an early morning breakfast, you will head to Yala Peak Base Camp. The ascend goes through the pastures and finally some rocky trail. You will spend the night in the tented camp at the Base Camp.
Day 08: Acclimatization Day (B, L, D)
This is the reserve day or might be called as acclimatization day. You will make the final preparations to climb Yala Peak. Your guides will provide necessary trainings on handling fixed ropes and crampons, and various other technical instructions.
Day 09: Early morning climb to Yala Peak summit (5500m) & Back to Kyangjing Gumpa- 8/9 hrs (B, L, D)
Finally the big day has come! In the early morning, you will start to ascend enjoying the marvelous views of Mt. Lirung, Dorje Lakpa, Shispangma and various other snow-capped mountains. After some negotiations with the snowy terrain, you will reach the summit that offers the magnificent views of the mountains. After spending some precious moments, you will descend down to reach Kyanjing Gompa for overnight stay.
Day 10: Trek to Lama Hotel (2470m) – 6/7 hrs (B, L, D)
Today you will mostly trek down the hill tracing back your journey back to Lama Hotel. The trail descends along the river through the lush green forest, passing through the ethnic settlements and yak meadows.
Day 11: Trek to Syabrubesi (1550m) – 5 hrs (B, L, D)
It will be a downhill walk following the river through lush green vegetation to reach Syabrubesi. You will reach there early, so you can explore the area in your free time.
Day 12: Drive back to Kathmandu – 7 hrs (B, L)
Today this mesmerizing trek concludes and you will drive back to Kathmandu by carrying the beautiful memory of the trip with you.
Day 13: Final Departure (B)
This is your last day in Nepal. You will be taken back to the airport for your flight back home.
