Upper Mustang Trek will take you the forbidden ancient kingdom of the Lo which is now known as Lo-Manthang. From the trip you will witness the impressive views of Annapurna massif and Dhaulagiri massif. Beside the mesmerizing mountain’s views, you will also see ancient caves, beautiful monasteries, and colorful canyons and lunar landscape of Trans-Himalayan region. Your trek begins from Jomsom and then you will trek deeper in the desert landscape towards Lo-Manthang. En- route you will cross Nyi La Pass (4010m), the highest point of your trek. As you move towards Lo-Manthang, you will get the opportunity to visit famous King’s palace and the vicinity of the ancient walled city. Enjoying the en-route monasteries and panoramic views of Nilgiri, Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, and others, you return back to Jomsom, where your exciting trip comes to an end!

Day 01: Arrival Kathmandu (1400m) (D)
It’s a fantastic feeling to fly over the land of Nepal. You can see beautiful snow-covered mountains. After you land at Tribhuvan International Airport, you will be greeted by our team at the arrivals and escort you to your hotel.
Day 02: Kathmandu Valley Sightseeing Tour (B)
After having the early morning breakfast, you will move towards Kathmandu Durbar Square to tour around the Durbar Square. You will delight in the architectural wonder of the places like Hanuman Dhoka, Kumari Ghar, Gaddi Baithak, Taleju Temple etc. Then you make your way towards the Swayambhunath temple from where you can see the mesmerizing view of the whole Kathmandu valley. After having the wonderful view of the Kathmandu valley, you will continue towards Patan city. There you will visit Patan Durbar Square which is known for Krishna Mandir, Golden Temple and Patan Museum. After observing the wonders of Patan you will be back to your hotel for the night.
Day 03: Fly to Pokhara – 35 mins (B)
After breakfast, you will drive to Kathmandu airport and then fly to Pokhara. Upon arrival in Pokhara, you will be transferred to your hotel. You can spend your evening relaxing in the lakeside restaurants. Pokhara is the second most famous city of Nepal after Kathmandu and it is the capital city of the Gandaki Province. Pokhara, a city of lakes, is gifted with natural beauty of Himalayas, picturesque lakes and lush greenery. The city offers exciting adventure and sightseeing opportunities.
Day 04: Fly to Jomsom (2743 m) – 25 mins & trek to Kagbeni (2804 m) – 3/4 hrs (B, L, D)
You will have early morning flight to Jomsom. After 12 PM there won’t be any flights because of the wind. While flying, you can enjoy the views of mountains. After reaching Jomsom, you will trek to Kagbeni. The trail provides amazing views of the nearby peaks of Dhaulagiri, Tukuche, Nilgiri, and the Annapurna Massif. After few hours of trek, you will reach Kagbeni, a mystifying village on a top of a cliff. Kagbeni is the end point of Lower Mustang, beyond this point starts Upper Mustang. You will get the permit for Upper Mustang at the check point here.
Day 5 Trek to Chele (3110m) – 5/6 hrs (B, L, D)
Today you will trek to Chele for 5 to 6 hours. You will still walk along Kali Gandaki River and ascend the ridge towards Tangbe Village. Tangbe Village has narrow alleys amid white-washed and stone houses. After Tangbe you reach Chele.
Day 6 Trek to Syanboche (3735m) – 5/6 hrs via Taklam La Pass (B, L, D)
Today you will start early trek to Syanboche. You will ascend the Taklam La pass and then descend through a large gorge that opens up to Syanboche village.
Day 7 Trek to Ghaymi (4010m) – 5/6 hrs via Nyi La pass (4010m) (B, L, D)
Leaving Syanboche behind, you will steep Yamada La, the deserted area and then move towards Geling where you can find few settlements. After a tough climb you will reach Nyu la pass which will lead you to Ghaymi.
Day 8 Trek to Charang (3620m) – 6 hrs (B, L, D)
Today, you will descend to the colorful valley across Tangmarchu River. From this point, Mustang look like a desert with barren hills, no vegetation or signs of human settlements nearby. As you approach Charang, you will ascend past the mani wall and reach Charang.
Day 9 Trek to Lo- Manthang (3840m) – 4/5 hrs (B, L, D)
Leaving Charang behind, you will descend to the base of village and then enter Tholung village. After Tholung, you will ascend to the windy Lo pass and then pass through the sky of caves to reach Lo-Manthang.
Day 10: Exploration Day (B, L, D)
Today is you exploration day, you will visit the major sites within the walled city. The King’s Palace in the center of the city is an impressive monument. You can also do some sightseeing around the valley. You can visit Namgyal Gompa, Chosar, Tingkar Village and Jampa Lhakhang
Day 11: Trek to Charang (3620m) – 6 hrs (B, L, D)
After exploring Lo-Manthang, you will trek back to Charang.
Day 12: Trek to Tange (3240m) – 5/6 hrs (B, L, D)
Today you will hike plain land and then descend from Khola to reach downhill village, Tange.
Day 13: Trek to Tetang (3067m) – 8 hrs (B, L, D)
Today you will have a long trek, after crossing the suspension bridge you will ascend toward Cacho La pass and then descend to reach Tetang.
Day 14 Trek to Muktinath (3800m) – 7 hrs (B, L, D)
You will cross Gyu La pass and then descend to Chyangur village to hike towards Muktinath. After few hours of hike from Chyangur village, you will reach Muktinath.
Day 15: Trek to Jomsom (2743m) – 4/5 hrs (B, L, D)
Today early morning you will go for worship to Muktinath Temple. You will trek to Jomsom The trail provides great views of the nearby peaks of Dhaulagiri, Tukuche, and Nilgiri and Annapurna Massif.
Day 16: fly to Pokhara (822m) – 25 mins & Fly to Kathmandu (1400m) – 30 mins (B)
You will have early morning flight to Pokhara. After 12 PM there won’t be any flight because of the wind. While flying, you can enjoy the view of mountains. Then after reaching Pokhara, you will fly back to Kathmandu. After reaching Kathmandu you will be escorted to your hotel.
Day 17 : Free Day (B)
Today is your contingency day in case of Jomsom or Pokhara flights delay or cancelation. You can use this day as a free day and visit different places of Kathmandu for shopping and sightseeing
Day 18: Final Departure (B)
Later you will be transferred to airport to board the flight for onward journey.
