Sunkoshi River rafting is one of the most thrilling and adventurous rafting trips in the world. This rafting takes you through the most remote regions of Nepal giving you an adventurous experience of the Himalayan wilderness. The rafting begins with easy paddling which gradually takes you through the high speed rapids giving you the life time experience of adventurous white water expedition. Sunkoshi means “Gold River” in Nepali language as gold could be found in some parts of river. Though your may not find gold, you will definitely make some golden memories in this river while paddling down the different class rapids through wonderful landscape.

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu (1400 m)
When you fly over the land of Nepal you will be welcomed by the beautiful sight of the snow-covered mountains. You will be greeted by our Nepali support team once you land at Tribhuvan International Airport and escorted to the hotel.
Day 02: Sightseeing in Kathmandu (B)
After having the early morning breakfast, you will move towards the Kathmandu Durbar square and the places around the durbar square like Hanuman dhoka, KumariGhar, Basantapur. Then you make your way towards the Swoyambhunath temple where you can see the mesmerizing view of the whole Kathmandu valley. After having the wonderful view of the Kathmandu valley, you will make your way towards the Patan city. There you will visit Patan Durbar square, Krishna mandir, golden temple and Patan Museum. After the observing the wonders of Patan you will be back to hotel for the night.
Day 03: Drive to Dolalghat and raft to Buttterfly Beach (B, L, D)
After having breakfast you will be driven to Dolalghat. It is a famous religious place among the locals where Indrawati and Sunkoshi river meet. Once you reach, you will be then properly instructed about the white river rafting and its safety. Then you will begin the rafting over the smooth rapids and some speedy rapids towards the end. Today is a warm up to prepare you for the challenging rapids that you encounter in the coming days. In the evening, you will enjoy different games and campfire at camp on the beach.
Day 04: Raft to Chainpur (B, L, D)
Today you will continue rafting after the breakfast. The flow of the river is slightly more rapid than yesterday and you will encounter sharp bends with rapid tides after an hour of rafting down the river. You can enjoy the magnificent mountain views to the north and beautiful farmland on the both sides of the river. You will stop for lunch at Majhigaun and continue to raft to reach Chainpur. Today you have entered Sindhuli district and until the camp is set, you can explore Chainpur.
Day 05: Raft to Jaghare (B, L, D)
After breakfast you paddle down Sunkoshi river and in about 30 minutes you come to a confluence of Tamakoshi and Sunkoshi. Near by the confluence there is grade 3 rapid. Today you enjoy the thrilling classes like Meat Grinder (Class IV-), Punch (Class IV-), Judy (Class III), Pre-anxiety (Class III) and High-anxiety (Class IV-) until you reach Jaghare for overnight stay.
Day 06: Raft to Raighat (B, L, D)
Continuing on the exciting rapids you come to the confluence of Sunkoshi and Dudhkoshi rivers. After the confluence, you will paddle over high speed tides of different grades like High- Anxiety and Pre-Anxiety. You need to be more careful and active as the river gets narrow and rapid until you reach Raighat.
Day 07: Raft to Rasuwaghat (B, L, D)
Today you enter Udayapur district. The rafting is more challenging as you pass through high rapids and paddle through sharp bends. You will raft through the dense forest and pass the most challenging rapids of Sunkoshi, Jaws rapid (Class IV) and Thrilling Dead. Again after an easy raft you encounter with Rhino Rock rapid class IV. Passing through exciting and challenging rapids, you will reach Rasuwaghat.
Day 08: Raft to Triveni(B, L, D)
Today is the second last day of the Sunkoshi rafting where you pass through the Jungle Corridor, as it is the section where you pass through the dense forest witnessing series of waterfall, caves and rocks. The river is swifter today with sharp bends and speedy rapids, making it challenging and extreme to raft. The extreme rapid classes includes Big Dipper (Class IV) followed by Black hole (Class III). After 5hr of exciting rafting you will reach to a beautiful confluence of three rivers Tamor, Arun and Dudhkoshi.
Day 09: Raft to Chatare (B, L, D)
The rafting today is smooth and easy compared to other day as you paddle in the large volume of water. You paddle through the dense forest then gradually reach to popular Hindu holy place, Baraha Dham and continuing the flow you reach Chatara.
Day 10: Drive back to Kathmandu (B, L, D)
After breakfast you will be driven back to Kathmandu with the memories of this exciting and thrilling rafting journey.
Day 11:Final Departure (B)
This is your last day in Nepal. You will be taken to the airport for your flight back home.
