Pisang Peak Climbing is a wonderful climbing adventure in the world famous Annapurna region. The trip is a blend of peak climbing and trekking around Annapurna Circuit with crossing of Thorong La Pass (5416m) and visits to Muktinath and Jomsom. Pisang Peak (6091m) is a pyramidal beautiful mountain situated in the northern side of Annapurna range. First climbed successfully by a German team in 1955, the peak is one of the best mountains for the beginners. The peak offers stunning views of Annapurna Massif, Manaslu, Glacier Dome, Chulu Range, Damodar Peak, and Tilicho Peak. The trip to this amazing peak starts with an adventurous trekking through Marshyandi Valley and culminates in the Kali Ganadaki Valley.

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu (1400m)
It’s a fantastic feeling to fly over the land of Nepal. You can see beautiful snow-covered mountains. After you land at Tribhuvan International Airport, you will be greeted by our team at the arrivals and escort you to your hotel.
Day 02: Sightseeing in Kathmandu – (B)
After having the early morning breakfast, you will move towards Kathmandu Durbar Square to tour around the Durbar Square. You will delight in the architectural wonder of the places like Hanuman Dhoka, KumariGhar, GaddiBaithak, Taleju Temple etc. Then you make your way towards the Swayambhunath temple from where you can see the mesmerizing view of the whole Kathmandu valley. After having the wonderful view of the Kathmandu valley, you will continue towards Patan city. There you will visit Patan Durbar Square which is known for Krishna Mandir, Golden Temple and Patan Museum. After observing the wonders of Patan you will be back to your hotel for the night.
Day 03: Drive to Chame (2650m) – 10/11 hrs (B,L,D)
Early in the morning you will be driven from Kathmandu, along the Kathmandu –Pokhara Highway. From Dumre, you follow the trail by the Marsyangdi river and pass through the farm lands to reach Besisahar. Then you will continue on the trail through the small villages to finally reach the beautiful Gurung village, Chame. It is one of the largest settlements in Manang situated at the base of a hill.
Day 04: Trek to Upper Pisang (3300m) – 5/6 hrs (B,L,D)
Today, you will begin by walking up the steep path and go through a deep gorge. Following the path you pass through the slope of Paungi Danda. Walking on the trail you will be greeted by the beautiful landscape of Mt. Annapurna, Mt Lamjung to the east and Pisang Peak to the north east. The route then takes you through Manang apple farm and then woods to finally reach Upper Pisang. You can explore the inscribed mani stones, gompas and enjoy the beautiful view of Pisang from Upper Pisang.
Day 05: Acclimatization (B,L,D)
As you have already gained altitude, today you will acclimatize at Upper Pisang. You can keep yourself busy exploring in the neighboring areas.
Day 06: Trek to Pisang Peak Base Camp (4380m) – 4/5 hrs (B,L,D)
After having breakfast, you head towards Pisang Peak Base Camp. You will walk through small villages and forests initially and then pass through pasturelands offering you the beautiful views of the valleys and mountains. You may come across grazing yaks on the way. Today you will gain about 1000m. So, once you reach the Base Camp, take some rest and enjoy the surrounding.
Day 07: Climb to High Camp (5400m) – 3/4 hrs (B,L,D)
Today also you will gain about 1000m. You will be mesmerized to see the sudden change in the landscapes. Taking the south-west ridge, you will make your way towards High Camp through narrow paths. After reaching the Camp, you have enough time to learn basic mountaineering skills from your guides. They will demonstrate you the proper handling and usage of the equipments and gears. Though you should not be an experienced climber, prior familiarization is advantageous. After the training, make necessary arrangements for tomorrow and retire early today as you have to wake up early tomorrow for the summit push.
Day 08: Summit Pisang Peak and back to Base Camp (6091m) – 10/11 hrs (B,L,D)
You will start early today to avoid the unpredictable weather in the afternoon. Following the ridge, you will advance towards the summit. Today’s climb is technical as well as steep. By the help of the rope fixed by your guides, you reach the summit. Near the summit, you pass through 70 degree slope. Once you reach the summit, you will be mesmerized by the stunning views of
Mount Annapurna, Glacier dome, Chulu range, Damodar peak, Manaslu, and Tilicho Peak. After spending some memorable moments, you retrace back to the Base Camp.
Day 09: Contingency Day (B,L,D)
Today’s day is allocated for delays that can be caused by weather condition.
Day 10: Trek to Manang (3519m) – 5/6 hrs (B,L,D)
You trek towards Pisang enjoying the views of Annapurnas. You will feel the significant loss in the altitude which makes your trek easier today. From Pisang, you will take the route that passes through Upper Pisang via Geru. As you approach Manang, you can visit Barge Monastery, the biggest monastery in the Manang region.
Day 11: Trek to Yak Kharka (4110m) – 3/4 hrs (B,L,D)
As you continue further from Manang and join the Annapurna Circuit Trek trail, you will walk steady uphill to valley, through few pastures, juniper trees, meadows and forest of barberry. You can experience the true Himalayan trekking with the spectacular view of the mountains on the way to Yak Kharka. Yak Kharka is an alpine pasture.
Day 12: Trek to Thorong Phedi (4533m) – 4/5 hrs (B,L,D)
After having breakfast, you will begin you walk towards Thorong Phedi. Today trail is uphill walk, on the way you will cross a suspension bridge and reach Ledar village. Then you further ascend and pass a cliff before reaching Thorong Phedi, the last village before Thorong La pass. In this journey you will get the magnificent view of Mt. Gundang, Mt. Syagang, Thorong Peak and Mt. Khatungkan.
Day 13: Cross Thorong la (5416 m) and trek to Muktinath and drive to Jomsom (2743m) – 9 hrs, (B, L, D)
Today is one of the major attractions after Pisang Peak summit i.e passing through Thorong La pass. It is one of the highest navigable passes in the world. You will cross Thorong La pass from east to west to reach Muktinath. You wake up early in the morning and climb up the trail to get the magnificent view from the top. After spending some time in the top, you will descend down to Muktinath valley, where your adventurous trek comes to an end. Then you will be driven to Jomsom through the Kali Gandaki Valley.
Day 14: Fly to Kathmandu via Pokhara(B)
After delightful breakfast, you will bid farewell to Jomsom and fly to Pokhara and catch a connecting flight to Kathmandu.
Day 15: Final Departure (B)
This is your last day in Nepal. You will be taken to the airport for your flight back home.
