After circumambulating the peak through challenging landscape and passes, you will end your trek by returning to Lake Mansarovar. Mt. Day 01: Arrival at Kathmandu (1400m)
You will be greeted by a panoramic view of snow-capped mountain peaks sprawling down below once you fly in the sky of Kathmandu. A representative and driver from our office will meet you at the airport and escort you to your hotel.
Day 02: Drive to Nyalam (3750m) – 155km (B, L, D)
After having breakfast, you will begin your journey from Kathmandu. You will be driven along the Bhotekoshi River in just opposite direction of the flow of the river enjoying the vista of the countryside of Nepal. Then you will cross the Nepal-Tibet Border and drive uphill to the town of Zhangmu and finally reach our destination of today Nyalam.
Day 03: Drive to Pelgu tso (4595m) – 57km (B, L, D)
Leaving Nyalam behind you will be driven towards Pelgu Tso. On the way you will pass through the Thong la Pass and then drive downhill before driving the inclined slop of Lalung La Pass, which offers the mesmerizing view of the Mt. Shishapangma (8013m), 14th highest peak of the world. Then you will proceed to Pelgu Tso, our destination of today.
Day 04: Drive to Saga (4280m) (B, L, D)
With delightful breakfast you will be driven towards Saga, the gateway for tourist and pilgrims to visit Mt. Kailash and mansarovar. You will follow the plain road with the amazing Himalayan vista and then drive through the narrow gorge before climbing to a pass and descend down and cross over the Yarlung Tsangpo before reaching Saga.
Day 05: Drive to Paryang (4750m) – 255km (B, L, D)
On today trip, you will be driven to Zhongbu, the road is smooth and comfortable. In Zongbu you will visit a small monastery and stroll around for some time then you will continue on your path towards Paryang. The road beyond Zhongbu is bumpy and dusty but the beautiful vista makes the journey enjoyable. You conclude the day after reaching Paryang.
Day 06: Drive to Lake Mansorovar (4560m) – 260km (B, L, D)
Today’s drive is the longest in this whole tour. You will cover 260km to reach Lake Mansorovar which will approximately take 10-11 hours. On the way you come across many rivers and drive through the Mayum La Pass. Like in every other day, your eyes will be pleased by the Panoramic Himalayan vista. You call it a day after you reach Mansarovar and spend the night at a tent.
Day 07: Exploration Day at Lake Mansorovar (B, L, D)
Today, you will have a free day to explore the serenity of this scaredLake. You may take a bath in this scared lake and also visit the meditation caves to spend the peaceful time in the tranquil atmosphere.
Day 08: Drive to Darchen (4560m) – 30km (B, L, D)
After a refreshing day at Mansorovar, you will be driven to Darchen, starting point of the Kailash Circuit Trek. It is only 30km away from our camping site so, when you reach there, you can rest for the day acclimatizing with the altitude and prepare for the Kailash circuit trek.
Day 09: Kailash Circuit Trek – Diraphuk (4890m) – 18km (B, L, D)
On the 1st day of the trek, you will required to walk for 6 hour which includes hiking as well as little climbing. You will begin walking west from the lake and after few hours of climb you reach a cairn (4730m) which offers the fantastic view of the Mt. Kailash. Today you will also visit Tarboche where the annual flagpole raising ceremony takes places in Saga Dawa on the full moon of the fourth lunar month. Your final destination for the day is at, Diraphuk.
Day 10: Kailash Circuit Trek – Zhulthulphuk (4790m) – 22km(B, L, D)
On the second day of trek, you will cross the Dolma LA Pass (5630m) which is the highest point during this trek. You will also visit Lake Gouri Kunda (5608), beautiful high altitude lake. This lake is also famous among the pilgrimage, they take holy dip and worship in this lake.
Day 11: Drive to Taklakot (4755m) – 78km (B, L, D)
Today is the last day of this trek, you will trek 13km and reach the point, where your jeep will be waiting to take you back. You will be driven to Darchen to complete the circuit and driven to Taklakpt via Manasorovar, completing the Parikarma.
Day 12: Fly back to Kathmandu (1400m) via Nepalgunj (150) (B)
After having Tibetan breakfast you will be driven to Hilsa, Nepal Borderand fly to Simikot which is 20min Helicopter flight. Then you will get the connected flight to Nepalgunj and later fly to Kathmandu and overnight stay at Kathmandu.
Day 13: Contingency Day (B)
Today is your contingency day in case of flight delay or cancellation. You can use this day as a free day and visit different places of Kathmandu for shopping and sightseeing.
Day 14: Final Departure
This is your last day in Nepal. You will be taken to the airport for your flight back home.
