Manaslu Circuit Trek is a mesmerizing trek to the home of world’s eighth highest mountain Manaslu (8163m), the region that was closed to outsiders until the early 90s but is open to travelers now. The trek goes through a relatively off-the-beaten path that comprises of high valleys, waterfalls, dense forests, ancient monasteries, highland villages, alpine lakes and challenging passes. The trip will reward you with the magnificent views of Manaslu, Huichuli, Ngadichuli, Ganesh Himal, Larke Himal and Annapurna II. You will start your trek from Soti Khola and then passing through diverse landscapes, unique cultures, rare flora and fauna, you reach Manaslu Base Camp followed by challenging Larkya La Pass (5145m) the highest point of the trek. The top of Larkya La provides astounding panoramic views of the Manaslu and Annapurna ranges.

Day 01: Arrival Kathmandu (1400m) (D)
It’s a fantastic feeling to fly over the land of Nepal. You can see beautiful snow-covered mountains. After you land at Tribhuvan International Airport, you will be greeted by our team at the arrivals and escort you to your hotel.
Day 02: In Kathmandu (B)
After having the early morning breakfast, you will move towards Kathmandu Durbar Square to tour around the Durbar Square. You will delight in the architectural wonder of the places like Hanuman Dhoka, Kumari Ghar, Gaddi Baithak, Taleju Temple etc. Then you make your way towards the Swayambhunath temple from where you can see the mesmerizing view of the whole Kathmandu valley. After having the wonderful view of the Kathmandu valley, you will continue towards Patan city. There you will visit Patan Durbar Square which is known for Krishna Mandir, Golden Temple and Patan Museum. After observing the wonders of Patan you will be back to your hotel for the night.
Day 03: Drive to Sotikhola (730m) – 6/8 hrs (B,L,D)
Today early morning you will drive from Kathmandu and follow the Trishuli River on Prithivi Highway to reach Soti khola. Soti Khola is a gateway to the Manaslu trek.
Day 04: Trek to Machha Khola (890m) – 6/7 hrs (B,L,D)
This is your first day of trek. You will cross the waterfall and pass through sal forest on the trail. After several ups and downs, you will reach Gurung settlement, Lububesi and then move towards Machha Khola.
Day 05: Trek to Doban (1080m) – 4/5 hrs (B,L,D)
Today, you will move towards Doban by crossing two major rivers; Tharo Khola and Machha Khola. After crossing the bridge of Machha Khola, you will reach Tatopani and then you will pass through a forest to reach Doban.
Day 06: Trek to Philim (1570m) – 5/6 hrs (B,L,D)
Early morning, you will continue your journey to Philim. You will ascend to Louri and then continue towards Jagat, where you can find a Tibetan style settlement. After crossing the village, you will reach Philim.
Day 07: Trek to Deng (1865m) – 4/5 hrs (B,L,D)
You will walk through terraced millet fields to Ekle Bhatti and then your path will become steeper. You will pass through a sharp gorge and cross Budi Gandaki River. After crossing the river, your trail will pass through bamboo forest to reach Deng Khola to reach Deng village.
Day 08: Trek to Ghap (2240m) – 4/5 hrs (B,L,D)
You will take a route through Bihi and descend and ascend Rana bridge. Your trail follows the pine forest and after crossing Bihi Phedi, you will enter Buddhist influenced region which you will know after seeing mains walls and different portraits of different gods and goddesses on the trail. As you approach Ghap, you cross a bridge to reach the village.
Day 09: Trek to Namrung (2680m) – 4/5 hrs (B,L,D)
Your route takes you through dense fir, rhododendron, oak and bamboo forest and suspension bridge and stone stairs to reach Namrung. In Namrung, you will see large barley fields.
Day 10: Trek to Lho (3180m) – 5/6 hrs (B,L,D)
The trail will take you to the beautiful Lihi village from where you will cross a stream to reach Sho. On the trail you will witness the view of Simnang Himal (6251m). You will head towards Lho, a culturally rich village surrounded by prayer flags, mani walls, chortens, and stupas.
Day 11: Trek to Sama Gaon/Ro (3525m) – 4/5 hrs (B,L,D)
Today you will walk through the forest to reach Shyala village, which is surrounded by fields. Then you will continue towards a small stream to reach a flat village called Sama Gaon, which is the closest village to Manaslu Base Camp.
Day 12: Exploration Day (B,L,D)
Today is your exploration day. You will explore the lifestyle of the locals and their culture. You can also hike up to Manaslu Base Camp or Birendra Lake and visit Pungyen Monastery.
Day 13: Trek to Samdo (3850m) – 3/4 hrs (B,L,D)
You will be crossing the pasture areas and ascend the valley. The trail follows the forest of juniper and birch and then reaches down the Budi Gandaki river. After crossing the bridge of Budi Gandaki river, you will witness the amazing views of Mt. Manaslu and reach Samdo, a Tibetan refugee village.
Day 14: Trek to Dharamsala/ Larkya La Phedi (4460m) – 3/4 hrs (B,L,D)
You will walk down Samdo through fields and old main walls, and cross the bridge over Budi Gandaki River, then walk past Athahra Saya river. After some few steps, you will see Larke river from there you will notice mani walls and the prayer flags enroute. Then you will come closer to Larkya Glacier. A further walk will take you to Dharamasala or Larkya La Phedi.
Day 15: Trek to Bimtang (3710m) via Larkya La (5145m) – 7/8 hrs (B,L,D)
Your day will start with the amazing views of Larkya Glacier and Mt. Manaslu. After leaving Dharamasla, you will trek to Larkya La Pass. Today’s trek is more challenging due to strong winds and storms. After a rough and grassy slope, you will descend carefully to four frozen lakes, and a steep trail to the Larkya La Pass. From there you will witness the panoramic views of Himlung Himal, Cheo Himal, Kang Guru and Annapurna II. After exploring Larkya La you will descend to Bimtang.
Day 16: Trek to Dharapani (1860m) – 6/7 hrs (B,L,D)
Leaving Bimtang behind, you will trek downhill. Your trial will cross through the rhododendron forest to reach Gho and then you will descend to the fields and pastures and reach Dharapani.
Day 17: Trek to Besisahar (760m) & Drive to Kathmandu (1400m) – 5/6 hrs (B,L)
Today will be your last day of trek. You will trek to Besishar and then drive to Kathmandu.
Day 18: Depart Kathmandu (B)
You will be transferred to the airport to board the flight for onward journey.
