You can also visit Muktinath Temple, one of the holiest Hindu and Buddhist pilgrimage sites. Your trek will start from Jomsom and moves towards Kagbeni, the farthest point of Lower Mustang, from where you leave the main trail and take a side loop to Jharkot. Muktinath is nearby Jharkot and after exploring the temple, you trek down back to Jomsom via Jharkot. With awesome mountain views and typical highland Buddhist culture, Lower Mustang trek gives you the real experience of an authentic Himalayan adventure.

Day 01: Arrival Kathmandu (1400m)
It’s a fantastic feeling to fly over the land of Nepal. You can see beautiful snow-covered mountains. After you land at Tribhuvan International Airport, you will be greeted by our team at the arrivals and escort you to your hotel.
Day 02: Kathmandu Valley Sightseeing Tour (B)
After having the early morning breakfast, you will move towards Kathmandu Durbar Square to tour around the Durbar Square. You will delight in the architectural wonder of the places like Hanuman Dhoka, Kumari Ghar, Gaddi Baithak, Taleju Temple etc. Then you make your way towards the Swayambhunath temple from where you can see the mesmerizing view of the whole Kathmandu valley. After having the wonderful view of the Kathmandu valley, you will continue towards Patan city. There you will visit Patan Durbar Square which is known for Krishna Mandir, Golden Temple and Patan Museum. After observing the wonders of Patan you will be back to your hotel for the night.
Day 03: Fly to Pokhara (822 m) – 30 mins / 207 km (B)
After breakfast, you will drive to Kathmandu airport and then fly to Pokhara. Upon arrival in Pokhara, you will be transferred to your hotel. You can spend your evening relaxing in the lakeside restaurants. Pokhara is the second most famous city of Nepal after Kathmandu and it is the capital city of the Gandaki Province. Pokhara, a city of lakes, is gifted with natural beauty of Himalayas, picturesque lakes and lush greenery. The city offers exciting adventure and sightseeing opportunities.
Day 04: Fly to Jomsom (2743 m) – 25 mins & trek to Kagbeni (2804 m) – 3/4 hrs (B, L, D)
You will have early morning flight to Jomsom. After 12 PM there won’t be any flights because of the wind. While flying, you can enjoy the views of mountains. After reaching Jomsom, you will trek to Kagbeni. The trail provides amazing views of the nearby peaks of Dhaulagiri, Tukuche, Nilgiri, and the Annapurna Massif. After few hours of trek, you will reach Kagbeni, a mystifying village on a top of a cliff. Kagbeni is the end point of Lower Mustang, beyond this point starts Upper Mustang.
Day 05 : Trek to Jharkot & Visit to Red Gompa (3519 m) – 3/4 hrs (B, L, D)
Today you will trek up to Jharkot and explore this old fortified village. The main feature of this valley is Red Gompa or Monastery of Sakya sect Buddhism. This Gompa is more than 500 years old and has an active Tibetan Medicine school. There are stunning views down the valley and up towards the famous Thorong La (pass) which is the highest point of the Annapurna Circuit trek.
Day 06: Hike to Muktinath (3800 m), back to Jharkot – 3 hrs (B, L, D)
After exploring Jharkot, you will have a short hike to Muktinath. Muktinath is a popular pilgrimage site for Hindus and Buddhists. Every year, thousand of devotees from different countries visit Muktinath. After reaching Muktinath, you will explore the temple area and the nearby monastery and return back to your hotel.
Day 07 : Trek to Jomsom (2743 m) – 4/5 hrs (B, L, D)
You will trek back to Jomsom via Lupra village. The trail provides great views of the nearby peaks of Dhaulagiri, Tukuche, and Nilgiri, and the Annapurna Massif. You will have a different perspective of the mountains on your return leg.
Day 08: fly to Pokhara (822m) – 25 mins & Fly to Kathmandu (1400m) – 35 mins (B)
You will have early morning flight to Pokhara. After 12 PM there won’t be any flight because of the wind. While flying, you can enjoy the view of mountains. Then after reaching Pokhara, you will fly back to Kathmandu. After reaching Kathmandu you will be escorted to your hotel.
Day 09 : Free Day (B)
Today is your contingency day in case of Jomsom or Pokhara flights delay or cancelation. You can use this day as a free day and visit different places of Kathmandu for shopping and sightseeing
Day 10: Final Departure (B)
Later you will be transferred to airport to board the flight for onward journey.
