Langtang Gosaikunda Trek is one of the popular trekking adventures in Langtang region that offers you the opportunity to explore the cultural and natural beauty of the region. The trek begins from Syabrubesi, and then gradually ascends to reach Langtang village, inhabited by Tamang and Sherpa people. Then passing through the beautiful village, you reach Tserko Ri, from where you can get the magical views of the Himalayan ranges, glaciers and valley. You can also explore one of the main monasteries of the region, Kyanjing Gompa. From there you trace back your journey to Lama hotel and then proceed to Gosaikunda (4380m), a high altitude lake and an important pilgrimage site of Nepal. All along the trail you will come across several viewpoints. Enjoying the incredible views of the mountains as well as the surrounding, the trek ends at Sundarijal, a beautiful refreshing destination towards the east of Kathmandu Valley.

Day 01: Arrival Kathmandu (1400m)
It’s a fantastic feeling to fly over the land of Nepal. You can see beautiful snow-covered mountains. After you land at Tribhuvan International Airport, you will be greeted by our team at the arrivals and escort you to your hotel.
Day 02: Kathmandu Valley Sightseeing Tour (B)
After having the early morning breakfast, you will move towards Kathmandu Durbar Square to tour around the Durbar Square. You will delight in the architectural wonder of the places like Hanuman Dhoka, KumariGhar, GaddiBaithak, Taleju Temple etc. Then you make your way towards the Swayambhunath temple from where you can see the mesmerizing view of the whole Kathmandu valley. After having the wonderful view of the Kathmandu valley, you will continue towards Patan city. There you will visit Patan Durbar Square which is known for Krishna Mandir, Golden Temple and Patan Museum. After observing the wonders of Patan, you will be back to your hotel for the night.
Day 03: Drive to Syabrubesi (1550m) – 7 hrs (B, L, D)
After having breakfast early in the morning, you will drive leaving the Valley behind. During the ride you can enjoy the beautiful landscape, mountain and pass through terraced fields and rustic villages. You will reach Syabrubesi after descending from Dhunche and spend the night at Syabrubesi.
Day 04: Trek to Lama Hotel (2470m) 5/6 hrs (B, L, D)
The actual trek begins from today. After having the breakfast you will leave Syabrubesi and cross Langtang Khola. Then the trail takes you to beautiful forest covered with rhododendrons and oaks. The trail continuously switches between ascents and descents and reaches to Lama Hotel, your destination for the day.
Day 05: Trek to Langtang Village (3500m) – 6/7 hrs (B, L, D)
Today you will follow the trail along the Langtnag River, and crossing the green pastures and enjoy the magnificent views of the Langtang Ri in front of you. After you reach yak pastures, you will climb a steep hill, passing through the beautiful forest and reach Langtang village inhabited by the Tamang people.
Day 06: Trek to Kyangjin Gompa (3800m) – 3/4 hrs (B, L, D)
The trek chases the trail leading to kyangjin Gompa, one of the important monasteries in the region. Along the way you will pass through water mills, prayer wheels and scared mani walls with sacred inscriptions. You will also come across one of the biggest mani walls of Nepal. Today you will be exploring the art and culture of higher settlements with a magnificent view of the mountains.
Day 07: Explore Tserko Ri (5000 m) – 7/8 hrs (B, L, D)
After delightful breakfast, you pass the yak meadow and start climbing Tserko Ri to enjoy the mesmerizing mountain vista at sunrise. Since you have climbed pretty high, you can feel the thin air, so you will return to the Kanjing Gompa. You can take a walk and explore the area while enjoying the views of mountain, glaciers, waterfalls and many more.
Day 08: Trek to Lama Hotel (2470m) – 6/7 hrs (B, L, D)
Today you will mostly trek down the hill tracing back your journey back to Lama Hotel. The trail descends along the river through the lush green forest, passing through the ethnic settlements and yak meadows.
Day 09: Trek to Thulo Syabru (2230m) – 5/6 hrs (B, L, D)
Early in the morning, after breakfast, you will follow the trail leading to Rimche, then following downhill path to meet Langtang River. After that, the trail follows the flat terrain to reach bamboo forest and across the bridge, you will ascend to reach Thulo Syabru, enjoying the local lifestyle and waterfalls.
Day 10: Trek to Shin Gompa (3330m) – 3/4 hrs (B, L, D)
Leaving Thulo Syabru, you will walk uphill path covered with rhododendron forest to reach Shin Gompa. On the way, you will pass through the cheese dairy, where you can taste local cheese from pure yak milk, enjoy various species of bird life in the jungle, experience the local life of village people. You will spend the night at Shin Gompa.
Day 11: Trek to Gosaikunda (4380m) – 5/6 hrs (B, L, D)
After the breakfast you will trek to Gosaikunda. On the trail, you can enjoy the magnificent view of Hiunchuli, Manaslu, Ganesh and Langtang, and the Tibetan plateau. You follow the ridge and reach Gosaikunda, a sacred lake. The lake has a spiritual and cultural importance among the Nepali people, therefore it is an important pilgrimage site in Nepal. The view from the lake is surreal as the lake is surrounded by mountains in all directions and it is accompanied by nine other lakes.
Day 12: Trek to Ghopte (3530m) – 6/8 hrs (B, L, D)
On the 12th day of the trek, you will head towards Ghopte leaving Gosaikunda behind. Today you will pass the Laurebina la Pass, from here you can have the panoramic mountain vista. Then you will walk down the rocky path to finally reach Ghopte.
Day 13: Trek to Maghingoth (3390m) – 4 hrs (B, L, D)
Today the path leads you to the rhododendron and pine forest. The sound of the river and bird chirping gives you the perfect soundtrack to your pleasant journey. You will visit Thadepati, a picturesque outlook on a ridge. Then you will descend slowly through the woodland to Maghingoth, resting place for today.
Day 14: Trek to Kutumsang (2470m) – 5/6 hrs (B, L, D)
The trek today is mostly downhill, crossing through series of stream, rhododendron and pine forest. You will follow the path to reach the moist temperate forest of lower valley to the village of Kutumsang.
Day 15: Trek to Chisapani (2215m) – 6/7 hrs (B, L, D)
The day begins with a steady ascent, passing through the lush green forest until you reach Gul Bhanjyang. Then you hike to Thodang and Chipling and descend into oak and rhododendron forest to Chisapani.
Day 16: Trek to Sundarijal (1350m) – 4/5 hrs, and drive to Kathmandu (1400m) (B, L) – 45 mins
Today is the last day of the trek, which takes you through the dense forest and easy walk through the Mulkharka valley. The trail provides wonderful view of the entire Kathmandu valley, leading us to your destination Sundarijal. From here you will drive back to Kathmandu.
Day 17: Final Departure (B)
This is your last day in Nepal. You will be taken to the airport for your flight back home.
