Day 01: Arrival at Kathmandu (1400m)

Pashupatinath: Pashupatinath is the most sacred Hindu temple of Nepal. It is located on the bank of the Bagmati River. It is an important temple dedicated to the Lord Shiva. Every year this temple attracts thousands of Hindus from all over the world. In 1979, Pashupatinath was declared a UNESCO world Heritage Site. The temple is famous for its awe-inspiring and astounding pagoda architecture and spacious premises with numerous temples.
Boudhanath Stupa: Boudhanath Stupa is one of the ancient and important Buddhist pilgrimage sites of Nepal. It is one of the largest stupas in the world with a diameter of over 100m. It is enlisted in the UNESCO world heritage site and is a popular destination for travelers in Kathmandu. As it’s an important locus of Kathmandu’s Buddhist community, throughout the day you can see countless devotees circumambulating the stupa spinning prayer wheels and reciting mantras.
Kathmandu Durbar Square: Kathmandu Durbar Square is also known as Hanuman Dhoka Square. It is one of the major attractions in Kathmandu Valley. The square’s monuments date from the 12th century (medieval time). The square is full of temples including Taleju temple, Jagannath temple, KalBhairab, Shiva Parwati temple etc. Probably the most famous building here is the Kumari Bahal, a building richly decorated with beautiful wood carvings, which is home to the Royal Kumari, the Living Goddess, a manifestation of the great goddess Durga. Nearby, the former Royal Palace is a Malla Dynasty dwelling, once considerably more extensive than today.
Swayambhunath: Swayambhunath, a little hillock in the northwest of Kathmandu Valley, is the oldest monument of Kathmandu Valley. It is also called Monkey Temple. Records of its history date as far as the 5th century, but its origins are believed to be older. It is the Kathmandu Valley’s most sacred Buddhist shrine and whilst its worshippers include the Vajrayana Buddhists of northern Nepal and Tibet, Newari Buddhists are the most fervent devotees.Overnight at a hotel in Kathmandu
Day 03: Drive Dhulikhel – 1½ hrs / 30 km & Hike to Namo Buddha (1750m) – 16 km / 3-4 hrs (B)

Dhulikhel: Dhulikhel is a beautiful city located in Kavrepalanchok district, 30km away from Kathmandu. It was the eastern border of ancient Nepal Mandala and was one of the territories of Bhaktapur kingdom. It is a delightful place popular for traditional buildings, Newari lifestyle and breathtaking views of the snow covered Himalayan ranges.
Namo Buddha: Namo Buddha is one of the most important Buddhist pilgrimage sites in Nepal. It is about 40 km away from Kathmandu. The place holds a significant history of Buddha offering his body in generosity to the tigress. It is also a right place for meditation practice as it is very quiet and peaceful with clean and fresh air. From Namo Buddha you can enjoy a beautiful sunrise and sunset along with an amazing view of the snow covered mountains.

Day 04: Drive to Kathmandu – 2 hrs / 41.5 km, En-route visit Bhaktapur (B)

After breakfast at hotel, you will drive to Kathmandu. En-route you will visit Bhaktapur.
Bhaktapur Durbar Square: Bhaktapur Durbar Square is a royal palace of the old Bhaktapur Kingdom with numerous temples and monuments within its premises that includes “ the Place of Fifty five Windows”, Vatsala Temple, Lion’s Gate, Bhairavnath Temple, Nyatapola Temple etc. It is enlisted in the UNESCO World Heritage Site.The whole Bhaktapur Durbar Square consists of at least 4 different squares: Durbar Square, Taumadhi Square, Dattatreya Square and Pottery Square. It is a popular tourist attraction in Kathmandu valley. Bhaktapur is inhabited by indigenous Newari people and it is rich in culture and tradition.
