Overview
Kapuche Lake Trek is a wonderful trip to Kapuche Lake near Pokhara valley. Kapuche Lake (2546m) is the lowest altitude glacial lake that lies on the north-east direction of Kaski district. Kapuche Lake is the source of Madi River. During, Kapuche Lake Trek you will get an opportunity to explore unique landscape, pristine nature, remote valleys and less crowded trails in a short time frame. The trek begins from Pokhara and goes through several Gurung villages and hills that offer panoramic views of Mt. Annapurna and Lamjung Himal. As you approach Kapuche Lake at the base of the glacier, you pass through terraced rhododendron forest and green vegetation and come across a 65m tall waterfall called Yedi. The trek is perfect for those travelers who want to experience great Himalayan beauty and authentic lifestyle but have limited time.

Detailed Itinerary
Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu (1400 m)
It’s a fantastic feeling to fly over the land of Nepal. You can see beautiful snow-covered mountains. After you land at Tribhuvan International Airport, you will be greeted by our team at the arrivals and escort you to your hotel.
Day 02: In Kathmandu (B)
After having the early morning breakfast, you will move towards Kathmandu Durbar Square to tour around the Durbar Square. You will delight in the architectural wonder of the places like Hanuman Dhoka, Kumari Ghar, Gaddi Baithak, Taleju Temple etc. Then you make your way towards the Swayambhunath temple from where you can see the mesmerizing view of the whole Kathmandu valley. After having the wonderful view of the Kathmandu valley, you will continue towards Patan city. There you will visit Patan Durbar Square which is known for Krishna Mandir, Golden Temple and Patan Museum. After observing the wonders of Patan you will be back to your hotel for the night.
Day 03: Fly to Pokhara (822 m)– 30 mins & Drive to Sikles (1980 m) – 4 hrs (B,L,D)
You will have early morning flight to Pokhara. It will be 30 mins’ flight and during that flight you will see the majestic mountains like Annapurna, Machhapuchhre. After reaching Pokhara you will drive to Darbang. During the drive you can witness the lush hills and snow-capped mountains. You will drive to one of the largest Gurung community villages, Sikles. After reaching Sikles, you will explore the beautiful village with some magnificent views of Annapurna II & IV and Lamjung Himal.
Day 04: Trek to Hugu Goth (2100m) – 5/6 hrs (B,L,D)
Today you will trek to the remote village of Hugu Goth. The trail offers you the magnificent views of Mt. Annapurna and Lamjung Himal, 65m tall waterfall “Yedi”. After 5/6 hrs of walk, you will reach Hugu Goth.
Day 05: Hike to Kapuche glacier Lake (2546m) & Back to Hugu Goth (2100m) – 2hrs (B,L,D)
Today you will trek Kapuche Glacier Lake which is about a 2-hour walk. The trail offers you the beauty of the surrounding nature. After reaching there you will see the mesmerizing reflection of Mt. Annapurna and Lamjung Himal at the lake. You will spend a couple of hours at the lake. Since there is no facility of accommodation, you will hike back to Hugu where you will spend the night.
Day 06: Trek to Sikles (1980m) – 4/5 hrs (B,L,D)
You will trek back to Sikles. After reaching Sikles, you will explore the beautiful village with some magnificent views of Annapurna II & IV and Lamjung Himal.
Day 07: Drive to Pokhara (822 m) – 4 hrs (B,L,D)
Early morning, you will drive back to Pokhara. After reaching Pokhara, you will be escorted to hotel and later on you can do boating, sightseeing, and shopping
Day 08: Fly to Kathmandu – 30 mins (B)
After exploring Pokhara, you will fly back to Kathmandu. It will be 30 mins’ flight and during that flight you will see the majestic mountain views. After you reach Kathmandu, you will be escorted to your hotel.
Day 09: Depart Kathmandu (B)
This is your last day in Nepal. You will be taken to the airport for your flight back home.
