Day 01: Arrival Kathmandu (1400m)
It’s a fantastic feeling to fly over the land of Nepal. You can see beautiful snow-covered mountains. After you land at Tribhuvan International Airport, you will be greeted by our team at the arrivals and escort you to your hotel.
Day 02: Kathmandu Valley Sightseeing Tour (B)
After having the early morning breakfast, you will move towards Kathmandu Durbar Square to tour around the Durbar Square. You will delight in the architectural wonder of the places like Hanuman Dhoka, Kumari Ghar, Gaddi Baithak, Taleju Temple etc. Then you make your way towards the Swayambhunath temple from where you can see the mesmerizing view of the whole Kathmandu valley. After having the wonderful view of the Kathmandu valley, you will continue towards Patan city. There you will visit Patan Durbar Square which is known for Krishna Mandir, Golden Temple and Patan Museum. After observing the wonders of Patan you will be back to your hotel for the night.
Day 03: Drive to Chame (2650m) – 10/11 hrs (B, L, D)
Early in the morning you will be driven from Kathmandu, along the Kathmandu –Pokhara Highway. From Dumre, you follow the trail by the Marsyangdi river and pass through the farm lands to reach Besisahar. Then you will continue on the trail through the small villages to finally reach the beautiful Gurung village, Chame. It is one of the largest settlements in Manang situated at the base of a hill.
Day 04: Trek to Upper Pisang (3300m) – 5/6 hrs (B, L, D)
Today, you will begin by walking up the steep path and go through a deep gorge. Following the path, you pass through the slope of Paungi Danda. Walking on the trail you will be greeted by the beautiful landscape of Mt. Annapurna, Mt Lamjung to the east and Pisang peak to the north east. The route then takes you through Manang Apple farm and then woods to finally reach Upper Pisang. You can explore the inscribed mani stones, gompas and enjoy the beautiful view of Pisang from Upper Pisang.
Day 05: Trek to Ngawal (3650m) – 5/6 hrs (B, L, D)
You will be trekking into the little gem of the region, Ngawal. You will climb into the Marshyangdi Valley and uphill path towards Ghyaru then finally you reach Nagwal. It offers the phenomenal view of the Himalayan range and the authentic experience of the tradition lifestyle. You also get to witness the Tibetan style stone houses and Tibetan style monasteries.
Day 06: Trek to Manang (3519m) – 5/6hrs (B, L, D)
Leaving Ngawal behind you will walk along the steep ridge enjoying the beautiful view of the Manang valley and Tilicho peak. Then you gradually descend down to the valley and following the north trail to reach Manang. You can see the change in the vegetation and landscape. In this route you will see Barge monastery, the largest monastery in the district.
Day 07: Acclimatization Day
As you have already gained altitude, today you will acclimatize at Manang. You can keep yourself busy by hiking to Bhojo Gumba or Gangapurna Lake.
Day 08: Trek to Tilicho Base Camp (4200m) – 4/5 hrs (B, L, D)
Today is mostly the uphill climb. You will be walking on the newly constructed path towards a high ridge that goes through Manang Marshyangdi valley and continue to Khangsar. The trail is mostly uphill and sandy track to reach Tilicho Base camp. The base camp trek offers the beautiful landscape of mountains and also gives you the chance to see some faunas such as Himalayan Thar, Yaks, and Himalayan birds.
Day 09: Trek to Tilicho Lake and back to Sri Kharka (4080m) – 8 hrs (B, L, D)
It is a bit of strenuous trek today. You will begin the trek through high alpine landscape following the blue and white trail sign leading to Tilicho Lake. It is one of the high altitude lakes situated at 4919m. From here you can get the amazing views of Mt. Tilicho in front of Tilicho Lake. After spending some time at the top, you will continue to Sri Kharka for overnight stay.
Day 10: Trek to Yak Kharka (4018m) – 5/6 hrs (B, L, D)
As you continue further from Sri Kharka, you will walk steady uphill to valley, through few pastures, juniper trees, meadows and forest of barberry. You can experience the true Himalayan trekking with the spectacular view of the mountains on the way to Yak Kharka. Yak Kharka is an alpine pasture.
Day 11: Trek to Thorong Phedi (4533m) – 4/5 hrs (B, L, D)
After having the breakfast, you will begin you walk towards Thorong Phedi. Today trail is uphill walk, on the way you will cross a suspension bridge and reach Ledar village. Then you further ascend and pass a cliff before reaching Thorang Phedi, the last village before Thorong La pass. In this journey you will get the magnificent view of Mt. Gundang, Mt. Syagang, Thorong Peak and Mt. Khatungkan.
Day 12: Cross Thorong la (5416 m) and trek to Muktinath and drive to Jomsom (2743m) – 9 hrs, (B, L, D)
Today is the major attraction of the whole trek i.e passing through Thorong La pass. It is one of the highest navigable passes in the world. You will cross Thorong La pass from east to west to reach Muktinath. You wake up early in the morning and climb up the trail to get the magnificent view from the top. After spending some time in the top, you will descend down to Muktinath valley, where your adventurous trek comes to an end. Then you will be driven to Jomsom through the Kali Gandaki Valley.
Day 13: Fly to Pokhara (822m) – 25 mins (B) & Fly to Kathmandu (1400 m) – 30 mins
After delightful breakfast, you will bid farewell to Jomsom and fly to Pokhara and catch a connecting flight to Kathmandu.
Day 14: Contingency Day (B)
Today is your contingency day in case of flight delay or cancellation. You can use this day as a free day and visit different places of Kathmandu for shopping and sightseeing.
Day 15: Final Departure (B)
This is your last day in Nepal. You will be taken to the airport for your flight back home.
